Just wanted to post a few of the pics I took recently. This family was really fun. And since none of the group shots ended up perfectly (with everyone's eyes open or looking at the camera), the best pics ended up being the spontaneous candids. Anyway, if you like them, great. If not, and you have some advice, I would LOVE it.

You did great at suggesting locations with great color and/or texture. I know I could have done more to make sure Lucia was in a better mood, but then again it's up in the air with kids. :) I think when we broke up into smaller groups we had better results. Also, the candid shots were my favorites. The group pics showed us as we are- a bit distracted but still connected. Thanks for your patience with us!!!

I thought I might have a chance to get them on disc tonight, but didn't. But I'm still thinking they'll be on a disc and ready this weekend. Thanks again you guys. (girls actually)
Wade those are great, my only advice is...... its all about the lighting. The time of day is the most important. You never want the sun to be in the face of people. Otherwise these are great. The sucky thing about getting the lighting good in the summer is you have to do them at the buttcrack of dawn, or later at night, like between 6:30 and 8:00.
I actually did these at around 6:30, 2 weeks ago. I sort of prefer that kind of light. And while you don't want the sun directly in their faces on a set up portrait, I decided to make these all candids.
But I agree, I can do much better. Just going take me some more time to practice. Also, you keep telling me about how we're going to go shooting together; I'm still waiting.
Im not being too critical, I was just giving my thoughts. I really think they turned out great. And yes I do like alot of lighting. As to when we will go shooting, I have no idea, Im trying to come up with just Maverick for a week next month so maybe then.
Wade..These are AWESOME!! I like candid pictures the best...I actually don't like "staged" photos very much...

Thanks Marie. They turned out OK and I also like the one of the kids. Probably just go lucky on that, which I suppose is how candids are supposed to go. Hope you're well. Maybe we need to have a Jami's Photo Workshop Reunion/Refresher BBQ party. But it's only for the coolest people.
